Has sown its seeds deep this same burden
Editor’s Note: Around 9th Grade, I started experimenting with format. I wanted to create one style of poetry uniquely my own. After much though, I came up with this lil number. Ah… Basically, its a fusion of two independent self standing poems used to create a unique third. Each lil star separates a Stanza. Its this kinds of poem that helped me appreciate commas. Ah… commas, you give sense to everything.
In any case, you start from the first line of the first and then you read the first of the second poem. You continue as thus, until you reach the end. You can also read the first poem and then the second as a whole. Or you can read the second first and then the first. It is read 100% from left to right. However, I think one might be able to read the thrid poem starting from the right to the left. However, you cannot start from bottom to top.
So, yeah here is the result of my lil experiment. I choose the third one because the first two prototypes had seized to make sense years ago. There was no hope in fixing them. The problem is that whenever you edit a line, you have to balance it in the other poem. IF you are not careful, the third poem falls apart. So, it takes a lot of time to write or edit. For this reason, it is advisable that you keep to three stanzas (intro, plot, conclusion). Also, have a clear mental picture about the two poems you are going to write. Oh, and keep both in the same tense, if possible the same “person” (i.e you or I) Aside, from that nothing else needs to be said.
